In the 13th century,Taiwan was inhabited mainly by aboriginal Austronesian tribes,who lived in an isolated and fragmented society.During this period,there were no detailed records from written sources about Taiwan,but there are archaeological and anthropological clues that provide a picture of the life and culture of the indigenous population.
