The Rendezvous is a Fictional Autobiography Based on the Life of David Walker – Abolitionist, Author, and Publisher of the now Iconic Appeal to the Colored Citizens of the World. The Title Reflects the Defining Event of Episode I - a Fictional Meeting Between Mr. Walker and French Aristocrat Alexis de Tocqueville When the Latter Visited Boston in September 1831. Although Much is Known About His Political and Social Views, Details of Mr. Walker's Childhood and Youth, Relationship With His Mother, the Slave Community and Other Facets of His Life Remain Obscure or Unknown. The Work Combines History, Imagination and Storytelling to Fill These Spaces and to Provide a More Textured Sense of Mr. Walker as a Personality. It is Intended to Attract new Readers to Explore the Legacy and Meaning of This Enormously Important Man.
