어릴 적, 우리 엄마는 유독 칼 다루는 솜씨가 좋으셨어요.덕분에 저는 맛있는 요리를 언제나 배부리게 먹곤 했죠.앞치마를 매만지며 환하게 웃는 엄마의 모습은 세상에서 가장 평범한 주부 같았어요.저는 성장하면서 엄마의 다른 모습들을 보기 시작했어요.엄마의 등에 난 큰 상처라든가, 새까만 정장을 차려입고 어디론가 외출하는 모습 같은 거예요.어렴풋이 알고 있었어요. 엄마는 특별한 직업을 갖고 있구나.뭐든지 깔끔하게 도륙하고 처리하는.근데 그거 아세요? 저는 그런 엄마가 굉장히 멋있어 보였답니다!어느덧... 저는 엄마와 완벽히 닮아있었죠.-Growing up, my mom was exceptionally skilled with a knife.Thanks to her, I always had a full stomach from her delicious cooking.She looked like the most normal housewife in the world, tying on her apron and smiling.As I grew up, I started to see other aspects of my mom.Like the big scar on her back, or the way she'd dress up in a black suit and go out somewhere.I knew in the back of my mind that she had a special job.Slaughtering and disposing of things neatly.But you know what, I thought that mom looked pretty cool!And now...
