The case of Jill Coit was a fairly popular one in the 1990s. Marrying up to nine different men, she was eventually convicted of killing her eighth husband, Gerald Boggs, who she married while she was still married to her seventh husband. She is also suspected of murdering her third husband, William Clark Coit, Jr. in 1972, but there was no substantial evidence to pin it on her. She spent her life manipulating and deceiving people, however, it all came to an end in 1995 when she was sentenced to life in prison.
Colorado Bureau of Investigation agent Susan Kitchen testified in court that Jill had asked her son to help in killing Gerald Boggs, one may wonder what kind of mother would ask this of her son. Kitchen said "His mother asked him first if he would murder Gerry Boggs, then if he would help murder Gerry Boggs". Her crazy lifestyle of bigamy and deception earned her the "Black Widow" name.
