The Way of Athena

In 2018, the aliens invaded Earth. They blended in, using mind control techniques through the media and sound frequencies, slowly enslaving the human race. Within three years, they had effectively reduced the population to mind-numbed robots without thoughts or desires of their own.
But Athena begins to break away. She receives a dated message from her father, warning her of the alien threat. She once thought he was crazy but now she realizes he was correct all along.
She realizes that she isn't susceptible to the mind control powers of the aliens. But she continues to tow the line, not wanting to draw attention to her unique situation until she can formulate a strategy. She meets the handsome Lenny and discovers that he has a power similar to hers...The two begin to formulate a plan to free the human race from the bondage of mind control but is Lenny everything he says he is?
