Jake and Emma Turner's marriage is in trouble--and Emma has finally reached the end of her rope. When a conversation that begins with Emma's request for a divorce ends in a screaming match, the couple's oldest daughter Fenn decides that the only way to save her family is by leaving it. What starts out as a teenager running away from home soon turns far more sinister, and Jake and Emma must put aside their differences to try and save Fenn from a hopeless future. VERDICT Readers who were introduced to the main characters in the first book of Cornelison's "Cameron Glen" series (Mountain Retreat Murder) might want to find out if the Turners can resolve their problems, but the far-fetched chain of events that lead to the eventual happily-ever-after will be hard to swallow.--Rebecca Moe
