Above all, however, the science of the Hebrew Kabbalah dealt with the science and the mysteries of numbers thousands of years before Pythagoras.

This symbolism, with differences in expression and function, is observed in religion, liturgy, literature, customs and superstition and also plays a role in research into historical forms of music, architecture, medicine, art and law.
